Here we go
I've never been a person who publishes his stuff online, never thought about writing a blog. And yet here we are.
This will be mainly a record of personal thoughts about development things, methodologies, designs, CS books and Poc's first impressions. I expect to find this articles useful at least for my future self, a map of my progression as Software engineer.
Also, this is a flag of my online presence (// TODO: Add a CV section).
And this is...
This blog has been build with Gridsome.
A colleague talked me about Gatsbyjs and I was quite interested in give it a try. As you can expect I aborted the plan. The framework (Gatsby) looked awesome, but I'm quite weak at React at the moment. Searching for a Vue alternative I ended up with Gridsome (also heard about VuePress, but ended up with Gridsome).
I found this framework really nice to build a blog, and it's quite confortable as developer write the blogs in Markdown. The framework has a lot of possible datasources to get the posts and other information (known as Collections) like wordpress, datocms or markdown files among others.
The CI/CD it's not setup yet, but the plan is to use GitHub actions to build and deploy the static files.
About consistency
I have a quite busy life so I won't be pushing articles every week. My plan, as per date of this publication, is to post at least once at month. I'ts a low number that I think I can compromise to, but if I have an idea or want to write about something I'll do it.
